If you’re a fan of Jocelyn Sexton Creative Services on Facebook, you may have already heard that all my photography equipment (camera, lenses… everything!) was stolen at the beginning of the year. But thankfully, I have been able to quickly replace my equipment and now even have some bigger and better stuff! So, with that in mind, I’m ready to start booking photography clients for 2012.

2011 Holiday Photo Promotion

Can you believe it’s November?! Now that the weather has finally cooled down, it seems like fall is zipping by super fast. But one thing you don’t want to forget to mark off your To Do List is to schedule a family photo shoot before sending out this year’s Christmas cards. 

 

If you’re interested in getting portraits taken, I’m offering a special holiday promotion for local clients, now through Dec. 10. For $80, you can schedule a 30-minute session that will include eight high-resolution digital images. (Normally, a $70 family session only includes three pictures.)

Summer Promotion Details

I’m running a pretty cool photo promotion, now through the end of August.

When you book one regular family session ($70 sitting fee) and pre-pay for a full CD of photos ($75 normally includes 300+ pictures), I will shoot multiple families (instead of charging each family a separate sitting fee) and DOUBLE the amount of edited pictures you receive (35+).

It’s a great savings when you invite your parents or extended family to participate. And it’s a wonderful opportunity to get the whole family together for professional photos.

As an example, I did a photo shoot for my friend’s family (two parents plus their newborn daughter), and we included her folks (the proud grandparents) and her sister’s family (two parents plus two more kids). So I shot this big extended family (six adults, three kids), and it was great! In addition to shots of the entire group, I took small group shots of each little family, individual shots of the kiddos, pictures of the grandparents with the grandkids, pictures of the adult kids (couples and siblings), etc. It took about an hour and everyone had fun (well… the men pretended to have fun!).

So often, us moms are behind a camera lens (or holding a cell phone), snapping pictures of our cuties. But how often do you get a good picture of you with your baby? You know… a frame-worthy picture where your hair and makeup look nice, there’s no snot on your sleeve, your kiddo has a clean face and you both look happy as you smile while looking at the camera. It probably doesn’t happen often!

In honor of Mother’s Day (May 8), I’m offering a special deal on “Mommy & Me” photo shoots throughout the month of May. For $50, you’ll get a 25-minute photo session: long enough to get a ton of great pictures, but short enough to avoid most major meltdowns and temper tantrums. With that price, you’ll get three digital images. A CD of your entire shoot will also be available for purchase at a discounted rate with this promotion.

New Year — New Photography Prices

Thank you to all the families who booked photo shoots in 2010. It was a great way to kick-start this business venture.

With the new year comes a new set of prices on photo shoots with Jocelyn Sexton Creative Services. Rates are set at $60 for a children’s photo shoot (1-2 kids) and $70 for a family photo shoot (three or more people). This rate includes three digital images taken in an outdoor location of your choice. Payment is due on the day of your shoot.

Once your pictures are available to preview, your best value is to purchase a CD of the entire photo shoots (which typcially has 200-400 images) for the low price of $75.

It’s a great deal to get 200+ professional pictures from an outdoor photo shoot for less than $150!

Jocelyn is available to digitally document birthdays (and half birthdays!), pregnancy pictures, newborn photos, families, anniversaries, engagements, senior portraits, grandkids, large group photos and other important milestones. 

Also, stay tuned for several specials throughout 2011. The first special will be for couples of all ages in February… so if you haven’t had pictures of just you and your sweetheart since your wedding day, now’s the time to get that set up! Jocelyn also plan to offer something fun in the spring for kiddos while the Bluebonnets and other wildflowers are in full bloom.
